Ingredients
1.5 oz Gin (a botanical-forward gin works best)
0.75 oz Bergamot simple syrup
2 oz Prosecco (chilled)
1 oz Soda water
Garnish: Fresh mint sprig and a thin bergamot or lemon wheel.
Instructions
To craft the Bergamot Spritz, stir 1.5 oz gin and 0.75 oz bergamot syrup (you can make this yourself, or buy it) in a wine glass filled with ice. Top with 2 oz Prosecco and a splash of soda water, then garnish with a slapped sprig of fresh mint and a citrus wheel for a bright, botanical finish. For a refreshing mocktail, simply omit the spirits and combine 1.5 oz bergamot syrup with 5 oz soda water over ice.
