What do you seek out when you need to see something beautiful?
When I need beauty I seek out nature of any kind. If I am able to see a body of water then added bonus, a lake or even better the ocean always soothes me and rejuvenates me in a way nothing else can. Heck even sitting at the East River can soothe me. I could sit at the ocean for every day for the rest of my life and watch the tides come and go.
What image lives rent-free in your mind lately?
Sunrise and sunsets are another sight that soothes me. Even though I’m not really a morning person, getting up early to see the sunrise or seeing the gorgeous fall sunsets in the city always brings me joy and solace. Mother Earth is amazing.

What’s an unexpected scent you love?
My Dad is a biker so the smell of gas and oil is something I have loved from a small age. Nothing smells better to me than walking into a garage. It’s home.

If your favorite season had a scent, what would it be?
I love many seasons (fall and winter) but as an adult recently I have become a huge lover of summer. Summer smells like so many delicious things, coconut, sun tan lotion, fresh air, sea breeze, body odor lol, flowers, ripe fruit, ice cream, ease, limitless days off at the beach and freedom.
What sound quiets your mind instantly?
I am a crazy cat lady and my cats purr instantly sets me at ease and it is even better if she is purring laying on my chest or by my head. It is said that a cat’s purr is a healing frequency and this is something I highly believe in.
Is your mind quiet or loud?
My mind is active and always moving! I am a person that absolutely benefits by trying to quiet my very active mind. My best ways of doing this is through movement, exercise, yoga and meditation. Sometimes I just need to put on a favorite song and dance in the kitchen to let it all out! I also love riding a Citibike home over the bridge from work and letting out a primordial scream when the Q train goes by.
What’s a daily ritual that feels like a form of touch?
Probably not a surprise but I love showering and bathing. There is nothing better for me after a long day than taking a shower and rinsing it all away. I also love a morning shower to wake me up and get me going. I love to exfoliate and care for all parts of my body in the shower and bath. I apply oil to all parts of my body, moisturize, dry brush everything. Having a huge/luxurious bathroom is a life goal for me with a giant soaking tub! My ultimate sanctuary.

When do you most crave softness?
All the time. Today. Now. The world is very not soft these days to put it super mildly so I seek softness everywhere in everything. I try to be a soft person/landing space for my clients, friends etc for this very reason. Be soft despite it all!
What’s a flavor that feels like a memory?
I have so many specific flavor memories. I come from a loving but food obsessed family so many holidays have very specific food memories. My paternal Grandmother was an incredible cook and thankfully I can still remember her food. Dinners at her house were so special and sacred. Her love of food and cooking was passed down to many of us in my family and for us food really is a love language. Her Pumpkin custard could transport me back into her house. My mom is also an incredible cook/baker and nothing tastes better than food cooked by someone you love.
What’s the most indulgent thing you’ve tasted lately?
I love food. I am blessed to live in NYC and have access to some of the best food in the whole world. I also have many friends in the hospitality/food service space so I am treated to delicious food often. And I love that I live in a diverse city with so many cultures and cultural foods readily available. What a blessing. Recently we had a spa meeting at Cafe Chelsea and I cleaned this plate no morsel left behind- eggs Benedict with salmon.
